Sifted wheat flour is the wholegrain wheat flour less 20% of the coarsest brans. It is somewhere in between a white and wholemeal flour. It is suitable for all sorts of home baking such as cakes, biscuits, pasta, pizza doughs, and is also good for baking bread and is a favourite of some of our local bakers.
Note: to ensure continuity of supply, we currently source flours from Powlett Hill (Campbelltown, VIC) and Wholegrain Milling Co (Gunnedah, NSW). Our prices are averaged to reflect the cost to us, and to enable cost savings to be passed on. In future we hope to stock both and offer a choice of producer.
